Nils Berg ist als eine der einflussreichsten Stimmen des skandinavischen Jazz bekannt. Seit seinem Debüt im Jahr 2004 hat er hat er acht Alben als Leader veröffentlicht und ist bekannt für seine umfangreiche Zusammenarbeit mit so unterschiedlichen Künstler*innen wie Fatoumata Diawara, Håkan Hellström, dem Cullberg Ballet und Mando Diao.

Nils Berg is known as one of the most influential voices in Scandinavian jazz. Since the debut in 2004, he has released eight albums as a leader, and is known for broad collaborations with such vastly different worlds as Fatoumata Diawara Håkan Hellström, the Cullberg Ballet and Mando Diao.

Die Musik des jungen Schweizer Trios TIE DREI widmet sich in vielschichtiger Art und Weise dem Begriff «Zeit» und dem Empfinden jener. TIE DREI betrachten das Weltgeschehen aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und spinnen daraus spannende Geschichten. So wird einevon Menschen ausgebeutete Kohleinsel von der Natur zurückerobert, während dem sich der Mond stets weiterdreht und der Mäander eigenwillig durch die Landschaft schlängelt.

The music of the young Swiss trio TIE DREI is dedicated to the concept of "time" and its perception in a multi-layered way. TIE DREI looks at world events from different perspectives and spins exciting stories from them. For example, a coal island exploited by humans is reclaimed by nature, while the moon continues to rotate and the meander winds its way willfully through the landscape.

In seinem neuen Programm »Blaue Bäume« erkundet der Gitarrist Philipp Schiepek bewegte Klangfarben. Nach »Meadows And Mirrors« ist ein Konzertprogramm für zwei Gitarren entstanden. Mit dem Berliner Gitarristen Ronny Graupe entdeckt Schiepek den unmittelbaren Farbwert im Zusammenspiel der Instrumente. Konturen verlaufen, Farben werden vermischt.

In his new programme "Blue Trees", guitarist Philipp Schiepek explores moving timbres. After "Meadows And Mirrors", he has created a concert programme for two guitars. Together with Berlin guitarist Ronny Graupe, Schiepek discovers the immediate colour value in the interplay between the instruments. Contours blur, colours are mixed.

Towards the Middle East. Two musicians and teachers, two paths in life, one passion. The classical guitarist and Syrian oud player Hekmat Omsi and the Swiss percussionist François Clavel open up new horizons with a programme of oriental works by various composers from the Middle East, from Abou Khalil al-Qabbani to Marcel Khalife. A history of the oud through the ages and a journey from Syria to Egypt.

Arbenz X Hart "Conversation #2" lenkt den Blick auf Florian Arbenz' lebenslange Verbindung mit Perkussion in allen Formen und Grössen. Jim Hart kümmert sich um stimmige Perkussion (Vibraphon und Marimba), während Florian auf einem speziell angefertigten Schlagzeug, erweitert mit einer Vielzahl von Perkussionsinstrumenten, darunter eine Log Drum, Mini-Zymbalon und Doppel-Udu.

Arbenz X Hart "Conversation #2" turns the spotlight firmly on Florian Arbenz’s life- long connection with percussion of all shapes and sizes. Jim Hart takes care of tuned percussion (vibraphone & marimba) whilst Florian plays on a customised drum kit, expanded with a host of percussion including a log drum, mini-cymbalon and double udu.

KNOBIL ist ein Chanson-, Post-Bop- und Glitzerjazzprojekt, das von der Kontrabassistin, Sängerin und Komponistin Louise Knobil aus Lausanne gegründet wurde. Beeinflusst von Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus oder auch Boris Vian, nutzt sie ihren Kontrabass und ihre Stimme, um mit Ihnen ihr musikalisches Tagebuch zwischen Polyamorie, Schlafmangel und Pesto-Rezept zu teilen.

KNOBIL is a chanson, post-bop and glitter jazz project founded by the double bass player, singer and composer Louise Knobil from Lausanne. Influenced by Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus and Boris Vian, she uses her double bass and her voice to share her musical diary between polyamory, sleep deprivation and pesto recipes.

Das Berner Kollektiv ARBRE klingt größer, als es ist. Mélusine Chappuis (keys, synth), Paul Butscher (fglh, vox) und Xavier Almeida (dr, p) spielten sich mit ihren kilometerweiten Soundspaces irgendwo zwischen Jazz und Alternative bereits auf Bühnen der ganzen Schweiz, Deutschlands, Italiens, Österreichs oder Tschechiens.

The Bernese collective ARBRE sounds bigger than it is. With their kilometre-wide soundscapes somewhere between jazz and laternative - Mélusine Chappuis (keys, synth), Paul Butscher (fglh, vox) and Xavier Almeida (dr, p) - have already played on stages all over Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Gegen die Absurdität des Alltags und für das exotische Hochgefühl des Tramp-Spirits! Die Hermanos Perdidos sind in den Strassen und wilden Bars zu Hause, haben einen Punk-Herzschlag, zwei Fässer Balkan in der Leber, ein Zigeuner*innenleben in ihren Adern und la Cumbia en el Alma. Mit Gitarren, Cajon und Akkordeon im Koffer verlassen die sechs Brüder und Schwestern ihre Heimat und tragen ihre Musik in neue, exotische Länder. Auf der Suche nach neuen Geschichten, die sie im melancholischen Bernoise, im Chanson Française, mit impulsiven Cumbia- und Funànà-Rhythmen mischen, folgen die Hermanos Perdidos den geheimnisvollen Pfaden der verlorenen Abenteuer.

Opposing the absurdity of daily life and embracing the exotic high of tramp-spirit! At home in the streets and savage bars, Hermanos Perdidos have a punk beating in their heart, two barrels of Balkan in their liver, a gipsy travelling in their veins y la Cumbia en el Alma. With guitars, cajon and accordeon in their suitcase, the six brothers and sisters are to leave their home and carry their music through new, exotic lands. In search for new stories to tell in melancholy Bernoise, in chanson Française, to mix with impulsive Cumbia and Funànà rythms, the Hermanos Perdidos follow the mysty paths of lost adventures.

Eine bis zurkompletten elektronischen Verfremdung verzerrteStimme, der jegliche Menschlichkeit oder Geschlechterzuordnung entzogen wird, dazusphärische Klangwolken und radikale Texte.

... is a balancing act between radical softness and confrontational provocation. NIKKO is "hybrid trance pop" and searches for an in-between that cannot be categorised along two poles. A voice distorted to the point of complete electronic alienation, deprived of any humanity or gender assignment plus spherical clouds of sound and radical lyrics.

E-Bass und Trompete sind vielleicht nicht die offensichtlichste Kombination, aber Björn Meyer und Tom Arthurs verschmelzen das scheinbar Unmögliche zu einem wunderschönen und flüchtigen improvisierten Duo - genährt von Folk-Musik, Barockmusik, improvisierte Musik und Jazz, um sich über Genres hinwegzusetzen und eine Musik zu schaffen, die so einzigartig ist, wie nur sie selbst und der Moment, in dem sie entsteht.

While electric bass and trumpet might not appear the most obvious combination, Björn Meyer and Tom Arthurs fuse the seemingly impossible into a beautiful and fleeting improvised duo – drawing from folk musics, baroque music, improvised music and jazz to defy genres and create a music as unique as they are, and as the moment in which it is created.

Cansu Tanrikulu und Nick Dunston sind zwei international tätige Musiker, die derzeit in Berlin leben. In einem kollaborativen Prozess von Komposition und Improvisation formen die Multi-Instrumentalisten ein seit 2020 aktives Duo. Zusammenarbeit und kreative Partnerschaft sind ein fester Bestandteil dieses Projekts und führten zur Schaffung einer Vielzahl von Werken, die von Avantgarde-Improvisation bis zu experimentellem Songwriting, von rauer akustischer bis zu ätherisch-elektronischer Musik reichen.

Cansu Tanrikulu and Nick Dunston are two internationally-based musicians currently residing in Berlin. Through a collaborative process of composition and improvisation, as multi-instrumentalists, they have created a working duo that has been active since 2020. Collaboration and creative partnership is already an inherent aspect to this project; they have created a myriad of work, ranging from avant-garde improvisation to experimental songwriting, from raw acoustic to ethereal electronic music.

Auf einem feinen Netz aus Melodien bewegen sich die Vokalistin Damaris Brendle und der Posaunist Florian Weiss improvisierend und Geschichten erzählend, mal leicht schwebend, mal erdig groovend, mal verspielt humorvoll, mal melancholisch andächtig. Die beiden in Bern lebenden Musiker*innen haben sich beim gemeinsamen Üben eine musikalische Sprache erarbeitet, die dank ihrer Transparenz und der grossen Spielfreude eine ungeahnte Sogkraft entfaltet.

Vocalist Damaris Brendle and trombonist Florian Weiss move on a fine web of melodies, improvising and telling stories, sometimes floating lightly, sometimes grooving earthily, sometimes playfully humorous, sometimes melancholically devout. The two Bern based musicians have developed a musical language while practising together, which, thanks to their transparency and great joy of playing, unfolds an unexpected pulling force.
